ABC Fire Extinguishers
ABC fire extinguishers contain a dry chemical extinguishing agent used on Class A, Class B and Class C fires. They're useful in fires containing wood, paper, plastic, liquids, gases and electrical equipment.
K-Class Fire Extinguishers
Fires that involve cooking oils or fats are designated Class K. Technically a subclass of flammable liquid/gas class (B), the higher flash point of these fires are considered important enough to recognize separately.
Co2 Fire Extinguishers
Co2 Fire Extinguishers are used for class B flammable liquids fires as well as Class C Electrical fires as they are electrically non-conductive. Carbon Dioxide is a clean, non-contaminating, odorless gas.
